Ceralink Inc., a service provider in advanced ceramic materials, announced the completion of a major expansion of its Materials Testing Center in St. Clairsville, Ohio. The $1 million investment increases capacity by 40%. Customers in aerospace require rigorous testing of ceramic matrix composites (CMCs) to qualify these materials for use in the hot zone of engines. The expansion allows Ceralink to offer high-cycle fatigue testing at temperatures up to 2550°F (1400°C) to simulate vibrations experienced during flight.
