Nutec Bickley received a contract from a major U.S. electronic component manufacturer to supply a high-temperature elevator kiln. The kiln will fire at a maximum temperature of 1675°C (3047°F) and will be lined with Nutec Bickley’s floating anchoring system, which anchors the refractory to the wall in a way that allows expansion and contraction movement of the refractory wall parallel to the steel casing but retains the refractories as a unit for longer service life. The kiln also incorporates an efficient combustion and control system that can run in two different modes of operation. The unit will be equipped with Nutec Bickley’s SCADA system, which will permit the user to access the process information in real time.
