IHEA’s 2015 Fall Business Conference will be held Sept. 1-2 at the Hilton Columbus Downtown following the IHEA fall seminars in Columbus, Ohio. The association holds this conference each fall for the purpose of bringing IHEA member company representatives together for committee meetings and key informational presentations on issues important to members.
This year attendees will hear from IHEA President B.J. Bernard and Executive Vice President Anne Goyer about the exciting new event that IHEA will sponsor in 2016, ITPS Americas. Also on the program will be a presentation about the latest trend in manufacturing training, makerspaces. Casey McCarty, Chief Operating Officer at the Columbus Idea Foundry, will provide some background and highlights of this new training initiative. A representative from the U.S. Department of Energy will discuss new opportunities for working with the DOE and ways IHEA can be involved in upcoming projects.
Michael Collins of MPC Management will present, “What to Know to Grow,” which will highlight several ways to evaluate your company’s needs in order to choose the right strategy and offer apprenticeships to bring in young talent.
