Olson Industries has been contracted by SMS USA LLC for the design and supply of performance equipment for two Steckel furnaces, including new combustion equipment, refractory, electrical equipment and controls. The equipment, which is part of SMS Group’s mill project for EPSSN in Venezuela, will be completely tested prior to shipment. Steckel furnaces are used to accumulate strip in coil form and minimize temperature losses.
