For the first time in the almost 60-year history of the trade fairs, Thermprocess, GIFA, METEC and NEWCAST will exceed 2,000 exhibitors. A total of 2,124 companies have registered to showcase their products June 16-20 in Düsseldorf.  Apart from Germany, which will be represented by 736 companies, strong participation will come from Italy, the U.K. and France as well as from overseas countries China, India and the U.S. Roughly 80,000 visitors are expected at the event.

Although Thermprocess, GIFA, METEC and NEWCAST are independent trade fairs for specific markets, together they present a comprehensive overview of the most up-to-date technologies for the metallurgy industry. This year, the four events will focus on resource reduction and energy efficiency to a larger extent than at the last staging in 2011. While only a few companies concentrated on sustainability last time, these topics are a priority for many companies in 2015. New developments and key technologies for maximizing efficiency levels and reducing CO2 emissions will be presented.

With the ecoMetals campaign organized by Messe Düsseldorf, exhibitors will showcase their innovations for low-energy production, material and resource efficiency as well as the climate-friendly use of renewable energy and optimized energy controlling.
