Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI) of Hatfield, Pa., renewed and significantly expanded the scope of its Nadcap accreditation in materials testing for the aerospace industry. The lab has achieved accreditation for broader mechanical testing specimen preparation, metallurgical evaluation of welds, microstructure examination and elemental analysis. In addition, compression testing, high cycle fatigue, creep testing, crack propagation/crack growth testing, evaluation of welds for GE Aviation and Pratt & Whitney and more were added to its extensive list of previously approved mechanical, metallurgical, chemical and specimen preparation services. The new accreditation certificate was issued with 18-month Merit Status and is valid until Oct. 31, 2016.
LTI has been Nadcap accredited in materials testing since 1994 and has a scope that also covers test methods such as heat treating, ICP analysis, atomic emission spectroscopy, wet chemistry, microhardness, corrosion, stress rupture, elevated and room temperature tensile, fracture toughness, bend and impact testing.
