After the success of its Annual Safety Seminar in April, IHEA has scheduled a second Safety Standards and Codes Seminar for Aug. 31-Sept. 1, 2015, at the Hilton Columbus Downtown in Columbus, Ohio.
Anne Goyer, IHEA executive vice president, said, “We realized early that there was a great demand for this seminar as the class filled weeks before the event, selling out our available space. With the recent release of revisions to NFPA86, IHEA’s Safety Seminar is extremely popular. We continued to receive inquiries about future dates and made the decision to offer a second seminar this year. We are fortunate to have dedicated speakers that are willing to participate in the Fall seminar in Columbus.”
The Fall Safety Seminar will take place concurrently with IHEA’s 46th Annual Combustion Seminar and its newly launched Induction Seminar. Attendees from all three seminars will be able to attend a joint Tabletop Exhibition on August 31. This gives registrants the added benefit of networking with industry peers, seminar speakers and dozens of companies in the industrial heat-processing business.
The two-day Safety Standards and Codes Seminar will provide a comprehensive overview of the new NFPA 86 – 2015 edition, including updated requirements for many areas of safety. Sessions will cover the required uses of the American National Standards governing the compliant design and operation of ovens and furnaces.
Registration fee includes two days of classroom training, printed handout materials, Tabletop Exhibition and Reception, lunch and breaks both days and a copy of the NFPA 86 handbook – 2015 edition containing the new revisions. Attendees will also receive a certificate upon completion of the seminar.
