PhoenixTM recently supplied a system to the Newark facility of California Brazing for carrying out temperature uniformity surveys (TUS) in their heat-treating and brazing furnaces. PhoenixTM commissioned the system, which uses a 20-channel data logger with a combination of type-K and type-S thermocouples for monitoring TUS and control temperatures. The system was supplied with RF telemetry, allowing the survey to be monitored from a remote office. When the survey is complete, the software produces a TUS report complying with AMS 2750E requirements.
