Industrial Heating’s monthly economic indicators for April 2015 had two indices over 50 (showing growth) for the first time since January. In addition, three of four indices increased from last month. Also, the change in the number of request for quotes was at its highest level since November 2014. April 2015’s index numbers reflect the changes experienced by responding companies as they compare their March 2015 business levels to their February 2015 levels. April 2015’s index numbers:
- Change in number of request for quotes from Feb. to March – 51.0
- Change in number of orders from Feb. to March – 50.8
- Change in backlog from Feb. to March – 48.3
- Expected change in the health of the industry through April – 47.1
A number above 50.0 indicates increased activity or growth. A number below 50.0 indicates decreased activity or a decline in growth. Look for these numbers, along with historical values, in May 2015’s Industrial Heating.
