Paulo, a commercial heat treater headquartered in St. Louis, Mo., purchased two new universal batch quench (UBQ) furnaces from AFC-Holcroft. The furnaces will be installed at Paulo’s Kansas City Division. The new equipment, standard 36 x 48 x 36-sized units with top cool chambers, was customized to integrate with Paulo’s existing UBQ batch furnaces currently in operation. The equipment, which is being built by AFC-Holcroft’s partner MATTSA, will be delivered in the second quarter of 2015.
This recent order is equipped with a state-of-the-art furnace control system, which will also integrate with Paulo’s existing production and quality-control systems. Paulo supports a wide variety of aerospace, automotive and agricultural customers, many with stringent quality requirements. In addition to its two Missouri sites, the company operates divisions in Cleveland, Ohio, and Nashville and Murfreesboro, Tenn.
