Ambrell sold a 4-kW, 150- to 400-kHz induction heating system to a fastener manufacturer for a nut heat-treating application. The company will use the system within an automated process. The titanium nut will be moved into the coil, heated to 675°F (357°C) and then moved into a press. There are several different size nuts that will be heated with this system. Ambrell’s eVIEW induction heating software will be used for process monitoring and data logging, which helps manufacturers meet quality-control requirements.
