Pyradia won a contract for the design and manufacture of an industrial pyrolysis gas oven for a company based in Ohio. The NFPA 86, class A oven has inside working dimensions of 100 inches x 96 inches x 78 inches. It will be used to burn off cutting oil then fully oxidize tungsten-carbide grinding swarf. The furnace can reach a working temperature up to 2012°F (1100°C) and is equipped with an afterburner to burn off VOC at the end of the process.
Pyradia received a separate contract for the design and manufacture of an electric-powered composite curing oven from a manufacturer of composite and thermoplastic parts for the aerospace and automotive industries. The oven has a 96-inch x 126-inch x 90-inch working zone and offers pressure/vacuum ports and a thermocouple panel with a maximum design temperature of 500°F (260°C). It is fitted with a state-of-the-art data-logging system capable of recording up to 64 inputs.
