Superwool® fiber papers are a low bio-persistent solution ideal for use in ceramics and metals manufacturing processes. They are non-wetting to molten aluminum and feature low thermal conductivity, excellent tensile strength, thermal stability and resistance to chemical attack. Superwool papers are specially processed to offer excellent performance in high-temperature applications up to 2372°F. They can be used for expansion joints in trough sections, furnace tap-out plug cover and parting agents, and as a backup insulation layer behind refractory materials for melting and holding furnaces.
