CMI Industry Americas Inc. received an order from The Techs, a Division of Steel Dynamics Inc. based in Pittsburgh, Pa., for a new electrically heated pot furnace for the melting and holding of Galfan coatings. The molten Galfan metal will be applied to strip currently being processed through The Techs’ continuous galvanizing line, which was supplied by CMI Industry Americas. The order includes: an insulated, electrically heated pot furnace; temperature and power controls; and installation supervision services and training. The furnace will be completely erected in CMI Industry Americas’ plant in Salem, Ohio, prior to shipment.
