Year-to-date sales through May for the Metal Treating Institute (MTI) were $381 million, an increase of 1.9% from 2013. Sales in May 2014 totaled $77.4 million, a slight increase from May 2013. Six out of nine districts are ahead of 2013 sales through May, with the South Central district (western Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky) experiencing the largest increase (5.8%).
