The Buyers Guide is an annual tradition at Industrial Heating. Every July (24 and counting), we collect as much useful information from industry businesses as possible in order to publish that same information for you, the reader.
Why do we do it? It’s not because we have to but because we want to. As the world’s largest and most comprehensive integrated media resource focusing on high-temperature thermal-processing technology, it’s our goal to help readers make better purchasing decisions. What better way to do that than to compile the industry’s leading manufacturers in one issue?
It’s entirely up to you how you want to use the information in this magazine. Do you simply need to find the website of a certain company? Look them up in our Manufacturers Directory. Do you need to purchase low-NOx burners? Find the companies that sell them in our Product Directory.
For those of you that are new to our Buyers Guide – or for those that need their memory jogged – here’ s a quick course on how to use it.
Our Manufacturers Directory provides an alphabetical listing of companies that design, build and sell thermal-processing equipment. These businesses produce equipment including furnaces, burners, refractories, controls, instrumentation, thermocouples and a wide variety of other supplies and services. Each company listing provides contact information including e-mail, website, main contact person, phone number, address, etc. Our goal is quite simple: make it as easy as possible for you to get in touch with the businesses you need to contact.
Our comprehensive Products Directory is where you can find the products you need and the companies that provide them. The section is broken down into four main categories for convenience: Furnaces, Ovens & Kilns; Components, Supplies & Materials; Refractories & Insulation; and Controls, Instrumentation & Test Equipment. There are also two smaller sub-categories: Furnace Atmospheres & Gases; and Parts Washing Equipment/Supplies & Services. You can begin your product search at our Product Index page, which lists every product and service in the directory by page number. This index is color-coded so that the product categories correspond with the color of the tabs at the top of each page. The process is simple: find the product you want, go to the page where it’s listed and see a list of companies that offer that product for sale. You can then go back to our Manufacturers Directory to find a particular company’s contact information.
Our annual Buyers Guide also contains the Commercial Heat Treaters Directory, which provides an alphabetical listing (by state) of commercial heat treaters around the country. Members of the Metal Treating Institute (MTI) are noted. If you’re looking for a commercial heat treater in your geographic area, this is a great place to look.
Industrial Heating’s Buyers Guide has existed for over two decades because it provides readers with a simple way to find the products they need and gives them an opportunity to get in touch with the manufacturers they need to talk to. This year’s edition will include more than 8,600 product listings in 592 categories, with close to 400 manufacturer listings.
For readers that are more web-savvy or for those that simply eschew the magazine for the convenience of the Internet, the Buyers Guide is available in its entirety online at www.industrialheating.com/buyersguide. Not only that, it functions in much the same way. You can search by company or product. Each product search result will provide you with a list of companies, some of which can be contacted via email directly from that page.
We hope that this issue is the most informative industry resource you see in 2014. More importantly, we hope that you are able to use our Buyers Guide (print or online) to help make better purchasing decisions. Enjoy! IH
