Conventional vacuum furnaces require enormous amounts of energy in each cycle just to heat the hot zone and shield pack. Then again, they consume and expel huge amounts of energy in quenching the hot zone and shield pack with each cycle. SyncroTherm® heats and quenches only the workload with each cycle, making it remarkably efficient.
