Wisconsin Oven shipped a gas-fired walk-in batch oven to a company in the environmental services industry. The oven will be used for heating up gas meters in order to vaporize and vacuum out the mercury within them. Once this process is complete, the customer can then melt down the meters and safely dispose of the mercury. This allows the company to recycle hazardous material in an environmentally friendly fashion. The oven has a maximum temperature rating of 1250°F and a work chamber measuring 8 feet wide x 8 feet long x 5.25 feet high. The oven hearth includes four stainless steel skid rails designed with a total capacity of 8,000 pounds.
