Harper International received contracts for advanced 3-meter-wide oxidation ovens, LT and HT carbonization systems, waste-gas abatement systems, and fiber-handling and integrated additional unit operations valued at approximately $38 million. The customer chose Harper for its full-line investment to ensure efficient total operation of its plant. Harper’s proprietary atmospheric seals reduce fugitive emissions, increase the active volume of the oven and offer reduced energy consumption. This leads to optimized fiber quality and production rates due to faster oxidation, improved velocity and temperature uniformity, and optimal control of the reaction.
