Bonnell Aluminum’s new extrusion line has begun production, and the volume ramp-up is progressing as scheduled. The company, a subsidiary of Tredegar Corp., announced in early 2013 that it was investing approximately $17 million in an expansion project at its Newnan, Ga., facility. This project included the addition of a new 9-inch, 3,600-ton state-of-the-art aluminum extrusion press fully dedicated to serving the growing demand for extruded-aluminum components from automotive and light truck original equipment manufacturers.
