SECO/WARWICK commissioned a 12-bar universal HPQ™ (high-pressure quench) vacuum furnace to IBC Coating Technologies of Lebanon, Ind. This low-pressure vacuum carburizing furnace with high-temperature convection heating is for hardening and carburizing bearing steel and aerospace components. The furnace has a hot zone measuring 24 inches x 24 inches x 36 inches and has a maximum temperature rating of 2400°F (1315°C)and 1,300-pound gross load capacity. Additional features include isothermal quenching and modifications to address the low distortion and demands of the high-performance bearing and gear markets. This is the second vacuum furnace that IBC has purchased from SECO/WARWICK.
