Metallurgical High Vacuum (MHV) shipped a Survivor™ model HD300 vacuum pump for a heat-treating furnace to a U.S.-based commercial heat treater. The Ipsen-built furnace is designed for heat treating parts. The HD300 provides longer life because of it robust construction and filtration that minimizes acids and contaminants that can kill other pumps. MHV Survivor vacuum pumps use a proven oil-sealed rotary piston design for excellent reliability, even in the demanding operating conditions encountered in heat treating. Their pressurized oil lubrication increases pump life by filters that clean the oil of particulates and acids. Clean oil is forced into the critical hinge bar/piston slide tang interface. The eccentric bearing bands are also pressure-lubricated.
