The Verder Group acquired Germany’s Gero Hochtemperaturöfen GmbH & Co. KG, a leading manufacturer of vacuum furnaces and furnaces for applications under special atmosphere in research and industrial processes. The equipment is developed, manufactured and assembled in Neuhausen, Germany. Sales and distribution have so far been focused on Europe, complemented by some activities on a worldwide level. The acquisition extends the product portfolio of Verder Group’s Scientific Division in the heat-treatment segment, which now offers a complete range of high-temperature furnaces up to 3000°C (5432°F). Gero’s portfolio complements the line of laboratory and industrial furnaces and ovens offered by British manufacturer Carbolite Ltd., which is also part of the Verder Group.
