Praxair India Private Ltd., a subsidiary of Praxair Inc., signed two long-term contracts with JSW Steel to operate small on-site nitrogen plants in support of the company’s expansion efforts in the cities of Kalameshwar and Tarapur in the state of Maharashtra. The nitrogen will be used in the manufacturing processes for both cold-rolled and galvanized steel at these locations. Praxair is also finalizing construction of a nitrogen plant for EPCOS India Private Ltd., a manufacturer of passive electronic components and inductive components in Kalyani, West Bengal.
