Kaydon Corp. and AB SKF signed a definitive agreement under which SKF will acquire Kaydon for approximately $1.25 billion. Kaydon is a leading designer and manufacturer of custom-engineered, performance-critical products, supplying a broad and diverse group of industrial, military, aerospace, medical, semiconductor and alternative-energy equipment. SKF is a leading worldwide manufacturer and supplier of ball and roller bearings, linear motion products, precision bearings, spindles and seals. According to SKF, the complementary nature of Kaydon’s products and technologies, as well as their geographical presence and their manufacturing footprint, will enable the company to better serve its customers and distributors in the industrial market worldwide.
