SECO/WARWICK Corp. delivered an advanced new furnace design that provides improved durability for stainless steel heat treating to a northeast U.S.-based manufacturer. This vacuum furnace is equipped with a 15-bar gas-quenching system and a full HMI data-retrieval control package. The furnace utilizes the Super Expanite process, which improves the hardness and corrosion resistance for stainless steel. It is not a coating, but rather a new treatment process. SECO/WARWICK expects to commission the equipment by midsummer 2013.
