Sinterite, a Gasbarre Furnace Group Company, commissioned a 36-inch, nine-zone mesh-belt sintering furnace to a powder-metal parts manufacturer in Southeast Asia. The furnace is designed to the user’s specialized requirements for a proprietary sinter/heat-treatment process and is equipped with three heating chambers to manage three different processes: delubrication, sintering, and post-sintering heat treatment. The delubrication system utilizes Sinterite’s advanced design Accelerated Delubrication System (ADS). The sintering zones utilize silicon-carbide muffle sections in a gas-tight heating chamber. The specially configured cooling system is equipped with the Sinterite HyperCooler rapid cooling system. The furnace operates at a maximum temperature of 2200°F (1200°C) and is capable of net production output of 1,700 pounds (770 kg) per hour.
