LOI Thermprocess GmbH, a subsidiary of Tenova, acquired Metall Technologie Holding (MTH), a worldwide manufacturer of industrial furnaces. MTH is a holding company based in Menden, Germany, and it controls the companies Schmetz (Germany), BMI (France), Mahler (Germany), IVA/RIVA (Germany/Poland) and Huisen-MTH (China). MTH has 321 employees working in the fields of manufacturing and service for vacuum and atmospheric furnaces for a wide range of markets (heat-treatment centers, aerospace and automotive) with a strong focus on Germany, Western Europe and Asia. The acquisition of MTH will provide an opportunity for Tenova, through its subsidiary LOI Thermprocess, to expand the furnace business in the fields of heat-treatment equipment and services for parts and components.
