SECO/WARWICK Europe S.A. received an order for a 10.0 CaseMaster Evolution® T12 vacuum furnace from Bodycote, the world’s largest thermal-processing-services provider. SECO/WARWICK will provide the equipment for Bodycote in Europe in the fourth quarter of 2013. The vacuum furnace is dedicated for LPC and bright oil or gas hardening purposes. It is a three-chamber furnace with separate loading vestibule equipped with a 10-bar gas-quench system, heating chamber and oil-quenching vestibule with an oil tank also comprising a gas quench above an oil level.
In other news, SECO/WARWICK Europe S.A. started manufacturing a large unit for heat treatment of titanium for one of the major aviation manufacturers in China. The furnace, which will feature a working area of 1,200 x 1,200 x 3,500 mm (47 x 47 x 138 inches), will be equipped with an “all-metal” heating chamber and a deep-vacuum system. The length of the vacuum chamber was dictated by the requirement of processing a titanium element of an aircraft wing. The furnace will be made in accordance with the standard AMS 2750D class II tooling type A.
