Industrial Heating's monthly economic indicators for March 2013 were a mixed bag of results. Three out of four indices experienced a decrease from February, but two were over 50, showing growth. Perhaps most important, however, the change in backlog was at its highest level (51.0) since May 2012. March’s numbers:
- Change in number of request for quotes from Jan. to Feb. – 52.9
- Change in number of orders from Jan. to Feb. – 48.7
- Change in backlog from Jan. to Feb. – 51.0
- Expected change in the health of the industry through March – 49.3

A number above 50.0 indicates increased activity or growth. A number below 50.0 indicates decreased activity or a decline in growth.
