AFC-Holcroft announced the recent installation of a CAAB™ furnace line for a division of a prestigious, multinational corporation. The installation was delivered to the customer’s facility in China and will be used in the production of heat exchangers. The order for the controlled-atmosphere aluminum-brazing (CAAB) system included a gas-heated continuous drying oven and an electrically heated continuous-belt conveyor brazing furnace with cooling chambers along with turnkey installation, commissioning and training. The CAAB furnace was fabricated by G-Wang Precision in Zhejiang, Jiangsu Province, under license from AFC-Holcroft. Initial reports indicate the unit is delivering 15% excess production and is consuming 30% less nitrogen than previous installations.
