Furnace Camera System
February 12, 2013
The Furnace Camera System (FCS) gives the operator a set of electronic eyes to monitor and troubleshoot furnaces while in operation. This is achieved with a pinhole lens that gives unlimited depth of view without compromising picture quality. Lenses are available in various lengths and angles, depending on the application. The FCS is comprised of an air-purged and water-cooled HD video system mounted on an insertion/retraction system that is designed to operate in temperatures to 2000°C (3600°F). The automatic withdrawal system is designed to prevent damage from overheat situations. This system will monitor and retract if the temperature of the lens gets too high or if power is lost.
