It is always a humbling experience to be recognized by your peers. At MTI’s 2012 Fall Meeting, the following members received leadership and service awards. MTI, the MTI Educational Foundation and Industrial Heating would like to congratulate all 2012 award recipients.

 

Commercial Heat Treater of the Year

Solar Atmospheres of Western PA

This award is presented by Industrial Heating in conjunction with the MTI Educational Foundation. It is awarded to the heat treater that showed excellence in the areas of Quality Programs, Pollution/Hazardous Waste Control and Community Involvement/Leadership.

 

Award of Industry Merit

Jim Sterling, Pacific Metallurgical

This award is given in recognition of current or ongoing commitment to the betterment of the commercial heat-treating industry with one or more significant accomplishments.

 

Associate Member of the Year

Conrad Kacsik Instrument Systems

This award is given in recognition of current or ongoing commitment over the previous year to the betterment of the Metal Treating Institute and its members as a supplier.

 

Emerging Leader Award

Jim Feltner, FPM Heat Treating

This award is given to an individual under the age of 35 or with less than five years of volunteer service experience to the Metal Treating Institute. The individual must have demonstrated a commitment toward professional development through the Young Executive Series Program (Y.E.S.) and/or the MTI Online Academy; a commitment to the advancement of the heat-treating industry; and made an impact on the institute through volunteering at the Chapter or National Level as well as demonstrated exemplary leadership qualities.

Jackie Peters, Peters’ Heat Treating

Awarded by MTI’s President to the individual they feel has gone above and beyond the call of duty to help the Board of Trustees and the institute achieve its mission in serving the membership.
