Irving Place Capital, a middle-market private-equity firm, acquired Chromalox, a global manufacturer of highly engineered electric heating solutions for demanding process-control applications, from Sentinel Capital Partners. Pittsburgh, Pa.-based Chromalox manufactures a broad line of electric heat and control products – including heating components, immersion heaters, circulation systems, heat-transfer systems, precision electronic controls and more – for applications in energy, industrial and commercial market sectors. The company, which was founded in 1918, has multiple manufacturing, engineering, warehousing and sales locations in North America, Europe, and Asia.
