Ceramabind™ 542 is an inorganic, water-dispersed, aluminum-phosphate binder that resists temperatures to 3200˚F and is ideal for hardening and sealing porous refractories and thermal spray coatings. It is applied easily by brush, spatula, spray gun or syringe and cures fully in one hour at 700˚F or in-situ during equipment operation. The cured film provides a very dense, abrasion- and scratch-resistant seal that helps to extend the refractory life by reducing erosion and improving corrosion resistance. Ceramabind 542 is also an inert, electrically and chemically resistant material that will not outgas in ultrahigh vacuum.
