Home » Bodycote Acquires Carolina Commercial Heat Treating
Bodycote plc, the world’s largest thermal-processing services provider, acquired the business of Carolina Commercial Heat Treating (CCHT), which comprises six facilities in the southeastern U.S. and one in southern Indiana. The business was acquired from Bluewater Thermal Solutions LLC for $68 million. Bodycote has not acquired any interest in the remaining 10 facilities owned by Bluewater in the Great Lakes region. The majority of CCHT serves the Carolinas, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee, including some key customers in off-road vehicle and heavy-truck manufacturing and a growing presence in the aerospace and energy markets. Sales to the car and light-truck sectors represent about 23% of the business.
