Industrial Heating'smonthly economic indicators for July 2012 rebounded from June, as all four indices showed growth. In fact, all four indices increased from last month. The change in the number of orders (53.7) was over 50 for the ninth straight month, and the change in the number of request for quotes was at its highest level (55.4) since April. July 2012’s numbers:
  • Change in number of request for quotes from May to June – 55.4
  • Change in number of orders from May to June – 53.7
  • Change in backlog from May to June – 50.7
  • Expected change in the health of the industry through July – 51.2
July 2012’s index numbers reflect the changes experienced by responding companies as they compare their June 2012 business levels to their May 2012 levels. A number above 50.0 indicates increased activity or growth. A number below 50.0 indicates decreased activity or a decline in growth.
