Kiln
The fiber-lined Corona kiln, which reaches 2012°F, is ideal for
low-fire small ceramic work and heat treating. Heat up time is 15 minutes to
1600°F and 30 minutes to 1900°F. The kiln’s inside dimensions measure 7 ¾
inches wide x 8 ¼ inches deep x 5 ¾ inches high, and it weighs approximately 35
pounds. The kiln, which is constructed of powder-coated precision sheet metal,
is front loading with a horizontal plug door hinged on the left. Insulation is
1 ½ inches of molded ceramic fiber with a ¾-inch air space between the case and
the insulation module. All controls and components are mounted in a control
panel that slides into the ventilated case assembly.
