IVD Vacuum Vessel
The Ivadizer® is an Ion Vapor Deposition (IVD)
vacuum vessel. This physical vapor deposition process is used to apply pure
aluminum coatings to various substrates, mainly for corrosion protection. The
Ivadizer is a better, greener way to prevent corrosion than the old cadmium
processes. Unlike cadmium, aluminum is environmentally clean, nontoxic and safe
for operating personnel to handle and use. The Ivadizer provides a safe process
with all the benefits of the old cadmium process – superior corrosion
resistance, excellent coating protection without loss of strength and flexible
load configurations. The base material is not affected by this pollution-free
process.
