Cabinet Oven
No. 855 is a 1250ºF electrically heated, inert atmosphere
cabinet oven used for heat treating. Workspace dimensions on this oven measure
38 inches wide x 26 inches deep x 38 inches high. It features 10-inch insulated
walls comprising 2 inches of 1900ºF block and 8 inches of 10 lbs/cf density
rockwool insulation. Forty KW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular
elements to heat the oven chamber, while a 1,500-CFM, 1.5-HP recirculating
blower provides horizontal airflow to the workload. Controls include a special
heating/cooling temperature controller to control heating elements for heating
and modulating damper on cooling blower for cooling. The oven also has an SCR
power controller and circular chart recorder.
