Industrial Heating'smonthly economic indicators for March 2012 showed growth for the second straight month. More importantly, all four indices increased from February and all four were over 57 for the first time in almost six years (April 2006). The change in the number of request for quotes (61.4) and the change in backlog (60.3) were at their highest levels since February 2006, a span of more than 72 months. The change in the number of orders was at its highest level since January 2011. March 2012’s numbers:

March 2012’s index numbers reflect the changes experienced by responding companies as they compare their February 2012 business levels to their January 2012 levels. A number above 50.0 indicates increased activity or growth. A number below 50.0 indicates decreased activity or a decline in growth.
