Industrial Heating's monthly economic indicators for December 2011 improved from November, as all four indices experienced an increase for the second consecutive month. The change in the number of request for quotes was at its highest level (54.5) since July, and the change in backlog (54.5) was at its highest level since January. All four indices showed growth for the first time since September. December 2011’s index numbers reflect the changes experienced by responding companies as they compare their November 2011 business levels to their October 2011 levels. December’s numbers:                                                 
  • Change in number of request for quotes from October to November – 54.5
  • Change in number of orders from October to November – 54.5
  • Change in backlog from October to November – 54.5
  • Expected change in the health of the industry through December – 50.8
