The Timken Company will increase production and add up to 100 jobs at its plant in Honea Path, S.C. The facility, which currently employs around 300 people, produces roller bearings and specialty steel products. The increased production could go toward bearings for railroad cars. Timken confirmed that it will add 50 new jobs between now and next year. According to the company, general demand for its products has picked up in recent months.
