Siemens VAI Metals Technologies will install a new vacuum decarburization plant at Taiyuan Iron & Steel Co.’s (Tisco’s) steel works in the Shanxi Province. It will be designed as a double system with a capacity of 180 metric tons, making it one of the largest plants of its type in the world. The plant is scheduled to come into production in mid-2011.

Siemens VAI Metals Technologies received an order from Russian Metalloinvest Holding to supply a new vacuum degassing plant to JSC Ural Stal Works.
