Industrial Heating's monthly economic indicators for July showed growth for the eighth consecutive month, a milestone that hasn't been reached since May-December 2007. In spite of this, all indices experienced a slight decline from June. July's index numbers:
  • Change in number of request for quotes from May to June - 53.9
  • Change in number of orders from May to June - 55.0
  • Change in backlog from May to June - 52.0
  • Expected change in the health of the industry through July - 52.1
July 2010's index numbers reflect the changes experienced by responding companies as they compare their June 2010 business levels to their May 2010 levels. A number above 50.0 indicates increased activity or growth. Look for these numbers, along with historical values, in August's Industrial Heating.
