Tenova Re Energy GmbH is the latest addition to Tenova. The company was established, effective today, as a specialist in heat recovery and energy efficiency for industrial furnaces. Located in Düsseldorf, Germany, Tenova Re Energy boasts an engineering team with experience in steam-generation heat-recovery projects. Present in Tenova Italimpianti Deutschland GmbH since 2006, they successfully managed several heat-recovery projects for walking-beam furnaces and electric-arc furnaces in the German market.

Tenova Re Energy is deeply integrated in the global Tenova Metal Making Business Area. The new business is highly interesting for Tenova Pyromet submerged-arc furnaces, Tenova HYL DRI furnaces, Tenova Consteel, electric-arc furnaces and walking-beam furnaces. According to Tenova, the time was right to create Tenova Re Energy because 25-40% of the energy input in industrial furnaces is lost in waste gas and cooling water.
