Posco plans to add supply-chain management (SCM) units at its overseas production bases, including four in the U.S., India and China this year. The company currently operates 42 processing centers and distribution units in 12 countries. In March, Posco will break ground on a new continuous galvanizing line (CGL) with an annual capacity of 400,000 metric tons in India. In addition, the company expects to complete its second stainless steel plant at Posco-VHPC in June. Its Turkish processing center in Nilufer, scheduled for completion in July, will help enhance sales service for automotive flat products.

Posco will begin to lay the groundwork in Indonesia in September for an integral steelwork plant, which will be built in collaboration with state-run PT Krakatau Steel. In addition, a 3-million-metric-ton hot-rolled mill and a 400,000-metric-ton CGL facility are scheduled to be built in Vietnam after 2012.
