The patent pending VringCARB approach combines precise metering and control with the inherent stability of the carburizing compound. Using a high-purity liquid napthene hydrocarbon, the carburizing compound is supplied to fuel injectors and vaporized, resulting in uniform carburizing throughout the effective workload area. Furnaces can be provided as single or multichamber configurations, with either conventional electric heating or Surface's gas-fired designs.
