The economy high-speed steel (EHS) box furnace is an energy-efficient unit specifically designed for heat treating high-speed steels. Constructed with lightweight ceramic-fiber and mineral-wool block insulation within a structurally reinforced sheet-metal shell to minimize heat loss, the furnace also features a silicon-carbide hearth plate to provide a solid base to support heavy workloads. The furnace operates up to 2450°F with easy-to-replace roof-mounted silicon-carbide heating elements for fast heat-up. An SCR power supply automatically balances voltage to optimize performance at a low cost. Five standard model sizes are available with chamber sizes from 6 inches x 6 inches x 12 inches to 9 inches x 9 inches x 24 inches.
