Indian Company Orders Bell-Annealer Facility
EBNER received an order from New Delhi-based Bhushan Power & Steel Ltd. (BPSL) for a HICON/H2®bell-annealer facility for processing steel-strip coils in a straight hydrogen atmosphere. The facility is the world's largest electric-heated bell-annealer facility for strip coils and includes 17 work bases, eight heating bells and nine cooling bells. After annealing, the coils are cooled to a core temperature of 60°C (140°F) in hydrogen and then stored in a dry coil-storage system, which was also included in the scope of supply. In its final expansion phase (24 work bases), the facility will have an annual processing capacity of approximately 400,000 tons.
